Upcoming Migration to a Single BTAA Community Engagement Network Teams Site

Dear colleagues,

In response to community feedback, we’re moving to collaboration spaces that offer more transparent and consistent access across groups.

This change will help streamline communication and strengthen collaboration throughout the BTAA Community Engagement Network. We’ve heard from you about the need for more connected spaces and tools that make it easier to engage across groups and support each other’s work. By moving to a platform that supports interaction within our community, we’re creating more opportunities to collaborate - both locally and across the network.

What’s happening?

  • All shared documents from Google folders/drives and individual Teams sites will be moved to a single Community Engagement Network Teams site.
  • Google Drive folders/drives and individual Teams sites will become read-only by October 1st.

Why this change?

  • Foster visibility and connection across groups: We want to create a shared virtual space where anyone in a BTAA library community group can learn about what other groups are discussing, share resources, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Simplify communication and improve alignment: A single Teams site with dedicated channels for each community group will streamline communication and reduce siloed information sharing. It also enables colleagues within the same member library to stay informed about cross-group work that may impact local workflows and services.
  • Build a stronger, more connected community: This change moves us closer to a collaborative, cross-library environment - one where we invest in each other’s success and work together to advance shared goals across the BTAA community engagement network.
